The Purpose of Life Groups

The purpose of Life Groups is not just to make disciples but to make disciple makers. Our goal every week is to bring the lost to Christ, equip and edify the saved, and then send out disciple makers to share the gospel with their family and friends. Our new Life Group building will be a training center where we reach the lost, teach God’s Word, care for one another, equip for ministry, and send out disciple makers into a lost world. Some will be sent and reach their families for Christ, teaching them to follow Jesus. Some will be sent and reach their friends with the gospel, and their lives will forever be changed. Some will be sent to start churches that will reach entire communities for Christ. Some will be sent to other cities and states where they will have a positive witness for Christ and multiply disciples. Others will be sent as missionaries to foreign lands where the name of Christ will be made known, and entire people groups will come to know God for the first time.

We are building for those who are not yet here, who will come and hear the gospel and receive Christ in this new space. We are building for the thousands who will never know of this building or our sacrifices to see it built but will come to know Christ from the gospel witness of those who we trained in it and sent out to tell a lost world of a loving Savior who died for them. God alone knows of the impact this building will have in the ages to come, but I believe someday in heaven we will see the eternal harvest of souls God is going to bring. We are "Building to Send," and we are sending for God’s glory and grace to be known and spread in a lost world that so desperately needs it!
